What is SPCXc and what can I stake?+
SPCXc is the SpaceX Coinbase Tokenized Stock — an onchain certificate issued by Coinbase Onchain SPV Ltd in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) that provides economic exposure to SpaceX shares. Each SPCXc token initially represents a 1:1 beneficial interest in SpaceX shares held in a regulated custody account. On spcxcstaking.com, you can stake your SPCXc tokens on Ethereum or BNB Chain to earn up to 36% APY in staking rewards, while maintaining your full economic exposure to SpaceX's performance.
What APY can I earn staking SPCXc?+
SPCXc Staking offers three APY tiers. The Flexible Pool earns approximately 12% APY with no lock-up period. The 30-Day Locked Pool earns approximately 24% APY for a 30-day commitment. The 90-Day Locked Pool earns up to 36% APY for a 90-day lock. Rewards are paid in SPCXc and are auto-compounded daily. Displayed APYs include the compounding effect and represent the annualized effective yield at the current reward rate.
Which blockchain networks are supported?+
SPCXc Staking is deployed on both Ethereum (ERC-20) and BNB Chain (BEP-20). All three staking pools — Flexible, 30-Day, and 90-Day — are available on both networks. Ethereum offers the highest security and is recommended for larger positions. BNB Chain has lower gas fees (typically under $0.20 per transaction) and is ideal for users who prefer to minimize transaction costs. APYs are identical across both networks.
Is SPCXc Staking non-custodial?+
Yes, completely. SPCXc Staking is 100% non-custodial. Your SPCXc tokens are locked in audited smart contracts on-chain — the protocol team and developers have zero ability to access, move, or freeze your staked tokens. Every deposit and withdrawal is executed directly by the smart contract based on your wallet signature. You remain in full control of your position at all times through your private keys.
Do I need to complete KYC to stake SPCXc?+
No. SPCXc Staking requires zero KYC, no account registration, no email address, and no identity verification of any kind. The staking protocol is entirely permissionless — all you need is an EVM-compatible wallet (such as MetaMask, WalletConnect, Trust Wallet, or Coinbase Wallet) holding SPCXc tokens. Simply connect your wallet and stake. Note that acquiring SPCXc itself may require KYC through the issuing platform (Coinbase) depending on your jurisdiction.
What wallets are compatible with SPCXc Staking?+
Any EVM-compatible wallet works with SPCXc Staking. This includes MetaMask (browser extension and mobile), WalletConnect (supporting 300+ wallets), Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, Rainbow, Ledger (hardware wallet via MetaMask), Trezor (hardware wallet via MetaMask), and Rabby Wallet. The staking interface detects your connected wallet automatically. Make sure your wallet is set to the Ethereum or BNB Chain network before connecting.
How do I stake SPCXc for the first time?+
Staking SPCXc takes four steps and under two minutes. First, ensure you hold SPCXc tokens in a compatible EVM wallet on Ethereum or BNB Chain. Second, select your preferred pool (Flexible, 30-Day, or 90-Day). Third, click "Stake Now," approve the SPCXc token spend in your wallet (a one-time approval), then confirm the stake transaction. Fourth, your rewards begin accruing immediately and are visible on your staking dashboard. There are no further steps — rewards auto-compound daily.
What is the minimum amount I can stake?+
The minimum stake for the Flexible Pool is 0.01 SPCXc. For the 30-Day Pool, the minimum is 0.05 SPCXc. For the 90-Day Pool, the minimum is 0.1 SPCXc. There is no maximum staking limit. Given SPCXc's current price, even small fractional positions can earn meaningful daily rewards. We recommend ensuring your stake value comfortably exceeds the estimated gas cost of your transactions — especially on Ethereum where gas fees can be higher.
How are staking rewards calculated?+
Staking rewards are calculated per block based on your proportional share of the total staked pool. If you stake 1 SPCXc and the total pool has 1,000 SPCXc staked, you earn 0.1% of the block rewards allocated to that pool. The displayed APY represents the annualized rate at the current reward emission speed and total pool size. APY fluctuates as more or fewer tokens are staked in a pool. Rewards are distributed in SPCXc and are auto-compounded daily into your staking position.
What does auto-compounding mean for my rewards?+
Auto-compounding means your daily SPCXc rewards are automatically added back into your staked position every 24 hours, so your next day's rewards are calculated on a larger balance. This compounds your yield continuously without any manual action from you. For example, at 36% APY with daily compounding, a 1 SPCXc stake grows to approximately 1.431 SPCXc after 90 days — meaningfully more than 1.09 SPCXc if rewards were paid out flat. Auto-compounding is enabled by default and incurs no additional gas from your side.
Can I withdraw my stake early from a locked pool?+
The 30-Day and 90-Day locked pools require you to keep tokens staked for the full duration to receive the full APY. If you need liquidity before the lock period ends, an early withdrawal is possible subject to a partial reward forfeiture — accrued rewards for the remaining lock period are forfeited, but your principal SPCXc is always returned in full. The Flexible Pool has no lock period and can be withdrawn at any time with no penalty whatsoever. We recommend matching your pool choice to your liquidity timeline.
Are the SPCXc Staking smart contracts audited?+
Yes. All SPCXc Staking smart contracts deployed on Ethereum and BNB Chain have been independently audited by leading blockchain security firms. The audit covered reentrancy vulnerabilities, integer overflow/underflow, access control, reward calculation accuracy, and emergency withdrawal paths. Full audit reports are publicly available in the SPCXc Staking documentation. Additionally, smart contracts are time-locked and can only be upgraded through a governance-controlled multisig with a mandatory 48-hour time delay.
What gas fees will I pay to stake on Ethereum vs BNB Chain?+
Gas fees vary based on network congestion. On Ethereum, a stake transaction typically costs $1–$5 in ETH gas depending on network activity. The one-time token approval costs approximately $0.50–$2. On BNB Chain, the same operations cost approximately $0.05–$0.20 in BNB. For smaller SPCXc positions, BNB Chain is recommended to ensure gas costs don't disproportionately impact returns. All fees are payable in the native chain token (ETH or BNB) — your SPCXc balance is not used to cover gas.
How do staking rewards affect my SPCXc price exposure?+
Staking SPCXc does not reduce your price exposure to the underlying SpaceX tokenized stock. Your staked SPCXc continues to reflect its pro-rata share of the underlying SpaceX shares held in custody, exactly as unstaked SPCXc does. Staking rewards are paid in additional SPCXc tokens, effectively growing your tokenized SpaceX position over time. If SPCXc appreciates in value, both your principal and your accumulated rewards increase in USD terms simultaneously.
Where do the staking rewards come from?+
SPCXc Staking rewards come from the protocol's reward reserve and fee revenue. The protocol captures a small spread on SPCXc liquidity operations and allocates a portion of this revenue to fund staking rewards for depositors. A rewards reserve contract is pre-funded with SPCXc and distributes tokens to stakers at a rate determined by the protocol's governance parameters. The reward emission schedule is transparent and auditable on-chain, so stakers can always verify the current reserve balance and projected reward runway.
Can I stake SPCXc on both ETH and BNB at the same time?+
Yes. You can hold separate staking positions on both Ethereum and BNB Chain simultaneously, and each position earns rewards independently. For example, you might stake a larger position on Ethereum for its security guarantees, and a smaller position on BNB Chain to take advantage of lower gas when adding to your stake frequently. Your dashboard shows all active positions across both networks in one unified view. Rewards on each chain are denominated in that chain's version of the SPCXc token.
What happens to my staked SPCXc if I lose access to my wallet?+
Because SPCXc Staking is non-custodial, only your wallet's private key can authorize a withdrawal of your staked tokens. If you lose access to your wallet, your staked SPCXc and accrued rewards remain locked in the smart contract and cannot be recovered by the protocol team — this is by design for security. It is critical to securely back up your wallet's seed phrase (12 or 24 words) in multiple offline locations. The protocol cannot override or recover funds from lost wallets under any circumstances.
Is there a risk of losing my staked SPCXc?+
Smart contract risk is present in all DeFi protocols, including SPCXc Staking. We mitigate this through independent third-party security audits, a time-locked upgrade mechanism, and a bug bounty program. Your staked principal is not used for leveraged lending or invested elsewhere — it sits in the staking contract and is returned to you upon withdrawal. Additional risks include the price volatility of SPCXc itself, changes to the underlying SpaceX tokenization terms by Coinbase, and general Ethereum/BNB Chain network risks. Never stake more than you can afford to hold.
How do I view my staking rewards and position?+
Once your wallet is connected, your personal staking dashboard shows all active positions including the staked amount, current pool, lock end date (for locked pools), accrued rewards in SPCXc and USD equivalent, estimated daily reward, and your position's performance history. The dashboard updates in real time from on-chain data. You can also independently verify your staked balance by reading the staking contract directly on Etherscan or BscScan using your wallet address — no trust in our interface required.
Do I need to claim rewards manually or are they auto-distributed?+
Rewards are auto-compounded daily — they are automatically added back into your staked position every 24 hours without any manual action required. You never need to "claim" during an active staking period. When you withdraw (at the end of a lock period or anytime for flexible stakes), your full balance including all compounded rewards is returned to your wallet in a single transaction. If you prefer to receive rewards without compounding, you can toggle off auto-compound in your staking dashboard and claim rewards manually at your preferred frequency.
Are staking rewards taxable?+
Tax treatment of staking rewards varies by jurisdiction and is your individual responsibility to determine. In many countries, staking rewards are treated as ordinary income at the time they are received, at the market value of the rewarded tokens. Capital gains may also apply when you eventually sell or transfer the rewarded SPCXc. SPCXc Staking provides an exportable transaction history for your staking activity to assist with tax reporting. We strongly recommend consulting a qualified tax professional familiar with digital assets and tokenized securities in your jurisdiction.
Can I add more SPCXc to an existing staking position?+
Yes. You can add additional SPCXc to your Flexible Pool position at any time. For locked pools (30-Day and 90-Day), adding tokens creates a new separate position with its own lock period starting from the date of deposit — existing locked positions are not affected. Your dashboard shows each position separately with its own lock end date and accrued rewards. There is no limit to how many simultaneous positions you can hold in the same or different pools.
What happens after my lock period ends?+
When your 30-Day or 90-Day lock period ends, your position automatically moves to a holding state. Your tokens continue to earn rewards at a reduced flexible rate while you decide whether to withdraw or re-stake. You will receive a notification (if you have connected your email or enabled browser notifications) alerting you that your lock has expired. You can then choose to withdraw your full balance plus rewards, re-stake into the same pool for another term, or move to a different pool. There is no penalty for delayed withdrawal after lock expiry.
Does SPCXc Staking have a native governance token?+
A native SPCXc Staking governance token is planned for future release. It will allow stakers to vote on protocol parameters including APY rates, reward emission schedules, new pool types, supported chains, and fee structures. Early adopters and long-term stakers will receive priority allocations in the genesis distribution. Follow official SPCXc Staking channels on X/Twitter, Telegram, and Discord for announcements regarding the governance token timeline and eligibility.
What is the difference between SPCXc and SPCX?+
SPCXc refers specifically to the SpaceX Coinbase Tokenized Stock — an onchain certificate issued by Coinbase Onchain SPV Ltd providing economic exposure to SpaceX shares. SPCX may also refer to other tokens including the SPCX Launchpad token on BNB Chain, the SpaceX tokenized stock on Backpack Securities on Solana, or other similarly named tokens. SPCXc Staking on spcxcstaking.com supports exclusively the Coinbase-issued SPCXc tokenized stock on Ethereum and BNB Chain. Always verify token contract addresses before interacting.
Is SPCXc Staking available in my country?+
SPCXc Staking is a permissionless, non-custodial DeFi protocol accessible to anyone with an EVM-compatible wallet and SPCXc tokens. However, SPCXc itself is a tokenized security issued under regulatory frameworks that may restrict access depending on your country of residence. You are responsible for ensuring that holding, trading, and staking SPCXc complies with the laws and regulations of your jurisdiction. Users in jurisdictions that restrict tokenized securities or DeFi protocols are advised to seek legal counsel before participating.
How is the SPCXc price fetched on this site?+
SPCXc price data is fetched in real time from the CoinGecko public API, which aggregates price data from all major DEX pools where SPCXc trades, including Aerodrome Slipstream and Uniswap V3/V4 on Base. ETH and BNB prices are also sourced from CoinGecko. Prices update automatically every 30 seconds. The displayed price is for informational purposes only and should not be considered financial advice. Always verify current prices through your trading platform of choice before making any investment decisions.
What happens if the protocol is hacked or exploited?+
In the unlikely event of a smart contract exploit, SPCXc Staking has an emergency pause mechanism that can halt all deposits and withdrawals while the issue is investigated. The protocol has an active bug bounty program rewarding security researchers who responsibly disclose vulnerabilities before they can be exploited. We maintain a community-governed treasury reserve that can be used to partially compensate affected users in the event of a verified exploit. All incident responses are communicated transparently and in real time through official channels. No protocol is risk-free — stake responsibly.
Is SPCXc Staking mobile-friendly?+
Yes. spcxcstaking.com is fully responsive and optimized for all screen sizes including smartphones and tablets. For the best mobile staking experience, use the MetaMask Mobile app's built-in browser or Trust Wallet's DApp browser to interact with the staking interface — these handle wallet signing seamlessly without switching apps. WalletConnect QR-code connection is also fully supported for mobile users who prefer to scan from a desktop browser. A dedicated SPCXc Staking mobile application is on the product roadmap.
